In Wuyi, Zhejiang Province, studios have drawn young customers during summer vacation, with parents also bringing children to try the craft.    Patchwork has a long history in China, as similar practices were recorded in The Rites of Zhou, a classic text on the Zhou Dynasty (1046-256 BC). Over centuries, the craft has reflected traditional values of cherishing resources and craftsmanship.    Bu Xiting, a researcher at Communication University of China, said patchwork helps people relax amid fastpaced urban life and reflects growing environmental awareness by reusing old clothes. He added that slow handicrafts are becoming lifestyle consumption trends, with potential for integration into homestays, museums and public education.                             。
